Objectives

The project intends to support the behavioural change on the
target group by making use of an educational technique which is considered particularly suitable for the target group. We plan to involve in the piloting at least 110 women which will be tested pre and post training.

The strategy that underpins the training approach is based on outcomes of researches identifying the causes of low reporting amongst disabled women victims of sexual harassment and abuse which depend on women:
an improvement of the score in all scales is expected as a result of the intervention.

Raise awareness among professionals (psychologists, social workers, medical staff, carers, etc.), working in the disability field of the risk of sexual harassment to which women psycho-social disabilities are exposed and to provide them with instruments to replicate the training programme. As mentioned, disabled women victims of abuse are unlikely to report what happened to them because they don’t recognize the situation to be an abuse.
